The idea for “1 Baby, 1 Bottle” campaign was started by our youngest and first real fundraisers. Our 9 year-old niece and her 5 year-old sister are making “Headbands for Hope” and picked “Project for a Village” as their charity. From that idea we decided on using the money donated by them to purchase prenatal and children’s vitamins.
Each bottle of prenatal vitamins will cover 1 pregnancy and help to prevent the birth defects caused by malnutrition. This is such an easy way to help the women and babies in developing countries. The children’s vitamins will provide essential nutrients during the first year of a young child’s life. We can carry over 100 bottles in our luggage. It has been a challenge finding the best vitamins for the price, and have found that Target has bottles of 200 prenatal vitamins for $8.00. It’s a good thing that there are about 15 Target stores within a 10 mile radius in Orange County, California!
