We are so thankful for our little nieces Havana & Eire (ages 9 & 6) for all of their hard work making Havana’s Headbands for Hope. Havana and Eire started making headbands this past year and were looking for a charity to donate the proceeds to. When they heard about Project for a Village and Nepal they embraced the idea of selling the headbands at their school, Lake Park Elementary School in Naples, Florida, and to friends in order to raise money for our projects. The first project was the “1 Bottle, 1 Baby”  vitamin campaign which allowed us to buy prenatal and children’s vitamins to bring to the health camp in March, 2014. Everyone woman and child who attended the health camp was given a supply of vitamins for free, and Havana and her family were the inspiration behind this campaign.

Most recently Havana and Eire made some headbands for the Cedarburg Strawberry Festival in Wisconsin. Lillies Goods put up a display at the festival and raised over $250.00 for PFAV. Lillies Goods has put the display of headbands in their store. All proceeds from the Strawberry Festival and the store will go towards the Library that we are building and stocking with books in the Chok Kot village in Nepal.

Since this past February,  Havana’s Headbands for Hope have raised over $500.00 for Project for a Village.  Havana also has a few pen pals in the village, who look forward to receiving mail from her whenever we can send a package.

We are so proud of all of Havana and Eire’s hard work.
